Hi, I’m Madison. I design at Amazon, turning complicated things into simple ones.

Lead UX Designer · Detail Page · Launched 2025
The size, color, and style picker on Amazon product pages had years of catalog inconsistencies behind it and a design that hadn’t been updated in a long time. I led a cross-category effort with Catalog, Softlines, Hardlines, and Electronics to fix the underlying data and build a new framework. I also pushed to include a visual redesign, which got funded as part of the work. Partnering with designers in Search, we shipped one consistent experience across Search and Detail Page that takes up less space and makes it clear what’s selected, out of stock, or unavailable.

Project Lead · Deals · Launched
Today’s Deals used to show every customer the same static grid of products, with filters that often didn’t apply to them. I led the project and owned the page layout, filters, and top-of-page navigation, partnering with a designer who owned the product grid. Early tests of personalized carousels performed strongly, and that result set the direction for a page shaped around each shopper’s interests.
03
Sole UX Designer · Delivery Experience · Launched
Sending a gift on Amazon used to be a one-way experience. The item simply showed up, and the recipient couldn’t see what was coming or track it along the way. As the only designer on the project, I designed end-to-end flows for two different people: the sender, who can now choose what the recipient sees and share a link with them, and the recipient, who can follow the delivery and “unbox” their gift early with a playful animation.

02 / ABOUT
A little about me
I’m a Senior UX Designer at Amazon, currently working on Cart and Checkout. Over the past six years I’ve designed across most of the shopping journey, from Delivery Experience to Deals to the Detail Page. The through-line has always been the same: taking something complicated behind the scenes and making it feel effortless for the person on the other side of the screen.
The part of the work I love most is the people. That means the shoppers I’m designing for, and the designers I work with. So much of what customers experience is shaped by teams working on overlapping pieces, and I care about connecting those pieces so the whole journey feels like one thoughtful experience instead of many separate ones. I’m happiest leading projects, bringing people together, and finding the simple answer hiding inside a complex problem.
Outside of work, you’ll find me cycling, hiking, taking photos, or baking cakes.
